Camera requirements
If you want to use your own cameras, make sure they meet the following requirements:
Required
Configurable FTPS settings - the camera must be able to send images via FTPS to a custom IP address or URL domain
High-resolution images - lower resolution results in less predictable AI performance
GPS location in each image
Camera identifier - some link to the camera ID (usually IMEI or another unique identifier) so the system knows which camera the image came from
Date & time in each image
How this metadata is embedded (filename, EXIF, etc.) does not matter - a custom camera profile will need to be created to integrate any new camera type with the system. This usually requires a day or two of software development and testing.
Nice to have
Daily status reports with signal strength, battery percentage, SD card usage, camera location, and number of images on SD. These will be shown on the camera page. If the camera does not send this information, those fields simply won't be populated, but the system will work regardless.
